After the slash mark (/), is the number that indicates the base color.  For example, color 16/8 is Medium Strawberry Blonde highlights on a Medium Caramel Brown base. By looking at the charts above and below, you can imagine the warm sunny brown color sparkling with light reddish blonde highlights.
